that's ms. b-s to you

not really; i'm not actually changing my last name. if i were to make a list of the top 10 things people have asked me leading up to and just after the wedding, "are you changing your last name?" would probably be about #4. it would be funny if i hyphenated though...

aside from the chilly, very november-like weather, everything went wonderfully. robin's canoe/boat entrance received many kudos, our vows were well received - robin's got a little chuckle and i had to pause for nearly a full minute while everyone laughed (i guess promising to "speak gently even when i know i'm right" struck more than a few people as amusingly appropriate). the food was fabulous and the decorations were classy, thanks to robin's brother jeffrey and his army of helpers, and i think the music was a special touch for everyone. we had a vocal quartet during the ceremony - which i will have to appreciate further on the video since i really don't remember most of it - and craig cardiff was amazing. for his second set he asked us to sit in front of him so he could play to us and it was really special. i appreciated those few moments to relax and just listen.

i think the ceremony really was the highlight though, as it should be. i can't thank our minister, doug, enough. he was wonderful! it really meant a lot to have someone who knows us perform the ceremony and give such a personal homily. he even held my flowers while robin and i exchanged rings! and the readings worked perfectly and suzanne (song of solomon) and ranil (a wedding prayer by aristophanes) did a fantastic job with them. the music robin selected for the quartet to perform complimented the readings so well; i doubt many people noticed, but two of the pieces were actually based on the scripture suzanne read from song of solomon.

pictures along with more details to follow shortly....

and yes, day two of married life is everything i imagined, and no i don't really feel any different. like i told a few people the other day, the most notable differencei find is that i actually feel like being nicer to robin :) he says he'll take it.

Congrats Wendy!! So glad the day turned out so well. We were all hoping the rain would hold off for your big day.

Sounds like it was all you had hoped for - and really you can't get better than that!
